COUNTER BALANCE FORKLIFT – CLASS I, II, III, IV, V, VII








This safety training is designed for workers who may operate sit-down counterbalance machines for the following classes:
Class I – electric motor rider trucks
Class II and III – Narrow Aisle Forklift Operator Certificate
Class IV – internal combustion engine (solid/cushion tires)
Class V – internal combustion engine (pneumatic tires)
Class VII – Rough terrain counter balance forklift

WE PROVIDE A CERTIFIED TRAINER TO COME TO YOUR SITE. WE DO NOT SUPPLY EQUIPMENT.
What can you expect from our class?
Upon completion of this training, workers will understand:

Define the type of forklift they operate and describe its capabilities and limitations

Describe the basic principles of forklift operation

Describe correct procedures for picking up, moving and stacking loads
-
Describe the main components of the forklift with emphasis on the lifting/handling systems

Describe the functions of the hand controls
-
Describe the function of the operator presence switch
-
Conduct a pre-operational inspection in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations
Participants are required to demonstrate their skill and understanding of the safe operating techniques learned in the classroom. They will demonstrate their ability to:

Operate the lift truck within safe limits
-
Safely handle the lift truck while travelling with and without a load
-
Exhibit proper loading and unloading techniques
