CONFINED SPACE TRAINING








This training is designed for workers who may enter high risk confined spaces, be required to be attendants, or to prepare a confined space for entry.
What can you expect from our class?
Upon completion of this training, workers will understand:

Determine the hazards and characteristics of a confined space to predict with certainty whether that space is dangerous; therefore is subject to the provisions of the confined space regulations.

Define a confined space as per Worksafe BC regulations.

Create a plan to eliminate or control all identified hazards.

Identify and assess all potential hazards that exist at the beginning of work and those that might develop because of the work activities.

Recognize signs, symptoms and behavioural effects that workers could experience within the confined space.

Establish an entry permit system and its components.

Understand the task emergency plan and the emergency response system

Don and competently use all equipment such as harnesses and air quality monitors that will be used while in the confined space as well as personal protective equipment including respirators that will be used while in the confined space.
